Music engraving is the art of making music manuscript into beautiful music typesetting. It requires a command of the software, a knowledge of music editing fundamentals, music engraving standards and an artistic eye as well. It also requires a commitment to detail and good proofreading.
"Finale," from Coda Music Technologies, represents the current standard for professional music engraving. The latest version of Finale is used, although earlier versions are available if needed.
My experience includes engraving for commercially-published choral, organ and piano publications, as well as orchestrations. Samples are available.
Music transcription services (lifting choral and/or instrumental parts from a recording; creating piano reductions) are available in conjunction with engraving services.
Camera-ready print-out services are available using a professional Postscript laser printer, with resolution up to 1200 dpi, and format sizes up to 11X17, on high-quality, 24-lb premium paper.
As an alternative to print-out, a disk may be furnished or electronic transfer is available.
